Communication & Events Officer

• Translate stories, developments, and results from the community into appealing communication.
• Actively gather information and make decisions about which stories deserve attention and through which channels they should be made visible.
• Organize meetings and events that contribute to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and visibility.

Communication.

• Develop and publish content for the website, newsletter, and social media.
• Gather and make visible stories and developments from the community.
• Manage and further develop communication tools and channels.
• Contribute to a recognizable and professional image.

Events.

• Prepare and organize meetings and events.
• Draw up and monitor planning and event scripts.
• Coordinate with participants, locations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Handle communication before, during, and after events.
• This includes student events, national events for collaboration partners and stakeholders, network meetings, and meetings for school leaders and teachers.

• Curious, takes initiative, and feels at home in a network organization.
• Works independently, easily makes contact, and has a good sense of when to make decisions independently and when coordination is needed.
• Sees an event not just as a task, but as an opportunity to connect people, share knowledge, and make the organization visible.

What they ask

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in communication.
• Experience with content development, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and gathering stories and developments within a network or community.
• Experience with organizing meetings and events, and project-based work.
• Digital skills and experience with applications such as WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
• Experience with design, photography, and/or video is a plus.
