Project Manager
An organization provides tailor-made solutions for industrial clients. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the complete project management of large-scale solar energy installations. You will ensure that large and/or complex projects are completed within established timelines, budgets, and required quality standards.
You will be the linchpin between various stakeholders and play a crucial role in coordinating the technical, financial, and operational aspects to ensure the technical integrity of the project.
What you will do. Project Management:
- Ensure a deep understanding and management of contractual obligations to guarantee successful project execution.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, bearing ultimate financial responsibility for your projects.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules for the execution of large solar energy projects, including associated tasks and deadlines.
- Coordinate all activities, teams, materials, and deliveries to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, from design phase to delivery.
- Manage interfaces between different parties, controlling scope definition and responsibility.
- Conduct risk assessment and management, taking proactive measures to identify and address potential obstacles.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and coach multidisciplinary project teams to deliver optimal performance.
- Provide direction and support to team members, utilizing and developing their talents.
Stakeholder Management:
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, internal teams, external partners (technical advisors, authorities, grid operators), and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Technical Supervision, Quality Control, and Safety:
- Ensure and monitor compliance with technical standards, regulations, and quality standards in the design, installation, and operation of projects.
- Conduct site visits.
- Implement processes and procedures for quality control and safety management within the project.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and project evaluations.
- Maintain detailed documentation and archiving of relevant project information (technical specifications, permit applications, grid studies, inspection documents, contracts).
What they ask
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Technical Sciences, Civil Engineering, or Project Management.
- Several years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, ideally within the Solar EPC sector or related industries.
- Technical insight and analytical thinking: understanding of solar energy systems, construction techniques, material knowledge, and regulations within the Solar EPC industry.
- Proficient in budget management and financial analyses.
- VCA VOL certificate, or willingness to obtain training.
- Strong organizational talent: able to organize and manage projects, effectively coordinating various tasks, deadlines, and resources.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
- Ability to effectively lead, inspire, and motivate a team.
