Privacy Officer

An innovative startup in the field of ID wallets makes it easy and secure for consumers to manage and share their personal data, identify themselves, and electronically sign agreements. The mission is to return control over privacy to the user, in line with Self-Sovereign Identity, eIDAS2, and GDPR principles. Privacy forms the backbone of their services.

What you will do. As a Privacy Officer, you are responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously developing the privacy policy within the organization. You are the conscience of the organization regarding privacy and data protection. The intention is for you to fulfill (partially or fully) the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO). Your main responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies and procedures
• Monitor compliance with GDPR and eIDAS2, including reporting to management and supervisory authorities
• Conduct and supervise DPIAs and risk analyses
• Set up and manage the processing register and data breach register
• Advise on privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default in products and services
• Supervise audits and internal controls
• Coordinate the handling of data subject rights requests
• Organize privacy awareness training and workshops for employees
• Report to the Managing Director on privacy risks and compliance, while maintaining independence

What they ask

• Drive and ambition
• HBO/WO education (higher professional education/university), preferably in law, IT, or information security
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Privacy Officer and/or DPO
• Thorough knowledge of GDPR, eIDAS2, ISO 27001
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness
