Strategic Environmental Management Advisor

A government organization is working on an extensive and complex inner-city area development with significant spatial and social impact.

• The assignment involves independently carrying out a defined advisory task focused on strategic environmental management and communication within this area development.
• The contractor is hired based on their own expertise and professional autonomy and independently delivers concrete, verifiable results.
• The contractor does not fulfill a role within the line organization and does not take over tasks that are structurally assigned within the organization.

What you will do.

• Deliver a detailed strategic plan of approach for stakeholder management and communication.
• Plan for contribution to an event/project.
• Provide written strategic advice on integrating interests, developments, and initiatives from external parties influencing the area development.
• Deliver concrete products in the field of environmental management, participation, branding, and placemaking.
• Responsible for achieving these results.
• Independently determine the approach, planning, and execution of activities.
• Use own resources.
• Work based on result obligations, not on hours worked or presence.

What they ask

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of university (WO) level.
• Minimum 10 years (from 2014) demonstrable relevant experience as a strategic advisor at executive level.
• Minimum 10 years (from 2014) demonstrable relevant experience in strategic environmental management.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience with complex area developments within a government context.
• Demonstrable experience (from 2023) with area assignments > 5,000 homes.
• Demonstrable experience with the transformation of business parks into residential areas.

• Very extensive experience in achieving results at executive and strategic levels.
