You will be part of an ambitious and enthusiastic self-organizing team, consisting of colleagues working as POH-GGZ or in Basic Mental Healthcare within a healthcare organization.
What you do
- You support the general practitioner in the role of mental healthcare gatekeeper by providing care to patients with 'mental health questions'.
- This primarily involves clarifying questions and providing short-term guidance to patients with psychological or psychosocial problems.
- Maintaining contacts and reports are also part of your duties.
- You work under the ultimate responsibility of the general practitioner and receive operational guidance from them.
- The goal is to strengthen primary mental healthcare from the general practitioner's practice and, where necessary, to ensure adequate referral to other healthcare providers from an independent position.
- You hold independent consultations, provide guidance, and perform short-term treatments for patients with psychological problems.
- Home visits are made where necessary.
- Your specific tasks include:
- triage, with or without the aid of a screening instrument;
- short interventions to empower the patient;
- guiding chronically psychiatric patients at the general practitioner's practice;
- reporting in the General Practitioner Information System (HIS);
- active involvement with other care providers in the neighborhood, including neighborhood teams;
- weekly team meetings with team members.
What they ask
- Knowledge of the most common treatment methods and intervention models, such as solution-focused interventions, motivational interviewing, self-help models, and e-health.
- You dare to undertake, pioneer, and build bridges between the general practitioner's practice and mental healthcare.
- A completed POH-GGZ training or willingness to obtain it.
- A master's degree in psychology with a specialization in clinical psychology or a completed social psychiatric nurse training with BIG registration.
- A positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
