A Project Manager Area Development & Drinking Water Supply is sought for a client to contribute to the future of drinking water supply and successfully realize complex area developments.
What you do
You are responsible for the direction and coordination of complex projects related to the expansion of drinking water production capacity.
- Bringing together diverse interests
- Monitoring progress
- Preparing projects towards decision-making, permitting
- Working at the intersection of project management, environmental management, permits, and administrative decision-making
- Central role in connecting stakeholders, advisors, and project teams
Tasks and responsibilities. Project coordination and progress monitoring.
- Drawing up and updating project schedules
- Monitoring progress, milestones
- Identifying and managing risks and bottlenecks
- Ensuring an up-to-date and transferable project file
- Steering on quality, scope, and project results
Permits and area processes.
- Coordinating permit processes and studies
- Harmonizing ecological, hydrological, and legal issues
- Monitoring procedures and legal requirements
- Preparing decision-making documents and justifications
- Structuring follow-up steps towards decision-making
Stakeholder and environmental management.
- Maintaining contacts with government agencies and other stakeholders
- Bringing together diverse interests within complex area processes
- Guiding administrative alignment
- Identifying sensitivities within the environment
- Developing supported solutions for complex issues
Strategic project management.
- Translating project objectives into actionable steps
- Independently formulating solution directions
- Monitoring coherence between content, environment, planning
- Advising on project risks and strategic choices
- Realizing agreed project results within defined frameworks
Profile
- Completed HBO or WO education (higher professional education or university)
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a project manager within complex projects
- Experience with area development, permit processes, or infrastructural projects
- Experience with multidisciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of administrative decision-making and collaboration with governments
- Strong communication skills and administrative sensitivity
- Good command of the Dutch language
Desired.
- Experience with drinking water, water, nature, or area development projects
- Knowledge of hydrology, ecology, or environmental management
- Experience with EIA procedures and permit processes
- Familiarity with stakeholders within a specific region
