Youth Residential Counselor

You will guide young people in a residential care facility in their personal development and independence. The guidance is 24/7 to prepare them for independent living.

What you will do.

• Guide young people aged 13 to 18 in their personal development, independence, and activities.
• Organize group activities such as cooking, sports, or creative pursuits.
• Act as a shadow mentor in complex cases when necessary.
• Conduct methodical discussions with the young people.
• Perform room checks and provide information.
• Work closely in a team during day, evening, and night shifts.
• Participate in meetings and intervision sessions to ensure quality.

What they ask

• Minimum of a completed MBO level 4 education in an agogic field (e.g., Social Work, Personal Social Care Worker, Specific Target Group Counselor, or Pedagogical Employee).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of methodical guidance and intercultural communication.
• Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always waking shifts).
