Within a manufacturing organization, you will guide technical projects in sheet metal, from request to production.

You are close to the technical aspects, collaborate with skilled professionals in production, and see the results of your work actually materialize.
With an internally developed ERP system, you maintain real-time insight into planning and progress.
The organization is a total supplier in sheet metal and welded constructions.
You will work for clients in mechanical engineering, trailer construction, recycling, offshore, and agricultural technology, among others.
You will work on diverse projects: from specialized custom work to small and medium-sized series.

What you will do.

Assessing requests, technical drawings, and specifications and translating them into a feasible solution.
Preparing and checking calculations, material choices, and cost price calculations for sheet metal and welded constructions.
Preparing and guiding projects towards production, monitoring planning, quality, and manufacturability.
Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and colleagues regarding technical choices, changes, materials, and delivery times.
Continuously improving the process by contributing ideas for more efficient working methods.
Maintaining an overview, liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in production.
Ensuring that technical choices are practically executable.
Regularly visiting the production floor to coordinate, check quality, or devise the best solution together with skilled professionals.

Profile

Extensive experience as a work planner, calculator, or project leader within metal, sheet metal, welded constructions, mechanical engineering, or a similar manufacturing environment.
You can read technical drawings.
You think practically about manufacturability.
You maintain an overview when multiple projects, clients, or changes are running simultaneously.
You take responsibility and work accurately.
You communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
You speak good Dutch.

What they ask

Minimum 5 years of experience with work preparation, calculation, or technical project guidance.
A completed education in mechanical engineering, metal, industrial engineering, or similar.
Knowledge of sheet metal, metalworking, or welded constructions.
Practical thinking about manufacturability, material, planning, and quality.
Maintaining an overview of multiple projects and knowing how to set priorities.
