You support people with a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury (ABI) in their own apartments, enabling them to live as independently as possible. You work in a modern building with a warm atmosphere and provide care and guidance that truly aligns with the client's wishes and goals.
What you do
As a nurse, you are the link between medical care and person-centered support. You proactively identify changes in clients' health or behavior and take action. The focus is on 50% guidance and 50% care, aimed at increasing independence and quality of life. You work closely in a multidisciplinary team with doctors, behavioral specialists, physiotherapists, and counselors.
- Provide nursing care such as wound care, catheter care, medication administration, insulin administration, PEG tube
- Detect health signals and translate them into appropriate interventions, in consultation with the (general) practitioner or therapist
- Establish the connection between care and guidance, so that clients feel safe and seen
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with a shared vision for the best care
- Participate in varying shifts (day, evening, and weekend shifts) with colleagues. Night shifts are outsourced.
Profile
- A completed HBO-V (higher professional education in nursing) degree
- Affinity or experience with clients with ABI and/or a physical disability
- Independence, flexibility, and a warm heart for care
- You embrace innovation and are resilient
- You are confident in nursing technical procedures, such as working with patient lifts or tube feeding
