Guiding young people aged 13 to 18 who have experienced a lot. These young people need structure and regularity. The guidance is provided 24/7 to promote independent living from the age of 18. You ensure a safe and livable residential environment and are a visible point of contact for the young people. Within the team, a good working atmosphere is important, and colleagues collaborate closely. Regular meetings and intervision sessions take place to ensure quality.
What you do
- Conduct regular mentoring interviews with the young people.
- Maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as the guardian, school, and general practitioner.
What they ask
- Relevant HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) diploma: Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another diploma within Social Sciences.
- SKJ registration or the possibility to obtain it within two years.
- Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are wake-up shifts).
- Always work with at least one other colleague.
Preferences.
- Preferably, work experience in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
- Be resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries.
- A relevant MBO (intermediate vocational education) diploma combined with SKJ registration is also welcome.
Practical
- You will work at one of the reception locations of a public organization.
- Teams consist of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts.
- A pre-employment screening is conducted, consisting of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) application, diploma and certificate verification, and an identity check.
