NT2 Trajectory Counselor

An adult education institution is looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused NT2 trajectory counselor with a heart for people.

You consider each student unique and offer guidance, actively thinking about how to give everyone the best opportunities to successfully learn Dutch.
You gain energy from personal contact, listen to the needs of students, and actively seek solutions.

What you will do.

Monitor the progress of students with specific learning needs and students whose trajectory is difficult.
Coordinate with teachers and other involved partners to support students and align the guidance.
Inform and advise students about training courses, faster or slower trajectories for learning Dutch, and refer them specifically where necessary.
Be responsible for administrative follow-up, such as updating the student tracking system.

What they ask

Minimum a bachelor's degree and a pedagogical qualification.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an NT2 environment or similar.
Be flexible and have no problem working more during busier periods by using flexible hours.
Dare to take initiative and feel responsible for the students' trajectory.
Be strong in communication, empathetic towards students, and able to conduct difficult conversations respectfully.
Be able to work under pressure.
Be a true team player; consultation and communication with colleagues play a major role in your function.
Not be deterred by a significant amount of administration.
Be willing to delve into regulations and the legal framework (knowledge is not a must).
