Service Technician

With your mechanical engineering experience, you will maintain the buildings of a high-tech organization. Together with your team, you ensure that all mechanical installations remain operational. You quickly resolve malfunctions using the latest techniques, perform timely maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement. You work independently, but your colleagues can also find you for various mechanical questions. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge with junior colleagues.

You have good knowledge and experience in the management and maintenance of utility buildings. In the field of mechanical engineering, you are the specialist, performing independent analyses, consulting with colleagues where necessary, and quickly arriving at a good solution. In the event of an incident where people's safety is at risk, you drop everything and take action.

You are on call for all mechanical issues the team encounters and together you resolve malfunctions as quickly as possible and ensure well-maintained high-tech buildings.

What you will do.

• Resolve malfunctions, from a broken motor in the air handling unit to complex issues.
• Install climate or air treatment systems, or components thereof such as fan coil units, reheaters, chillers, and heat pumps.
• As a troubleshooter, resolve malfunctions 24/7 on-site, often independently and if necessary with the help of other colleagues or specialized suppliers.
• After the problem is resolved, report the malfunction as closed and inform the client about the solution.
• Collaborate with different disciplines and have an interest in other fields.
• Order new materials if needed.
• Analyze what needs to be done, contribute to sustainable solutions, and proactively provide corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Be on call once every eight weeks, meaning you are available 24 hours a day for a full week.
• Enjoy transferring your knowledge to colleagues and continuously developing yourself.
