A residential facility is looking for a new colleague to build a unique, qualitative relationship with residents. The organization believes in meaningful encounters and offers an environment where both clients and colleagues can be themselves. The facility provides 24-hour care in proximity to (young) adults aged 18 to 51 with psychosocial and/or psychiatric issues and/or a mild intellectual disability. Residents have their own apartment around a shared living room.
During the day, they go to work, school, or day activities. You will work in a dedicated team of supervisors, a behavioral scientist, and a cluster manager.
What you will do.
- Organize activities such as a coffee morning
- Support residents with appointments
- Help with weekly groceries
- Cook dinner together
- Provide administrative support
- Work with the entire group and offer one-on-one guidance
- Adapt to the individual needs of residents for a pleasant life and a home
- Build a relationship of trust
- Remain involved, think in possibilities, and keep looking for what works, even on less good days
- Contribute to a warm, safe, and familiar homecoming for residents
