One of the world's largest logistics and eCommerce delivery providers is looking for a Platform Engineer. In the office, over 100 engineers work, with more than 15 in your platform engineering team. With four teams, they build and manage an Azure platform on which over 35 internal development teams develop and run their software. The platform is approached as a product, with continuous improvement based on the wishes of internal customers.
There is a clear long-term vision and budget, and you will work with modern technology on large, scalable platforms.
What you do
As a Platform Engineer in the CI/CD team, you will focus on the CI part:
- Building development tooling, automations, and self-service functionality.
- Enabling 35 development teams to quickly build, test, and release with maximum speed, stability, and reliability.
- Developing and managing toolchains, pipelines, and platform components in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Moving towards GitOps with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Building tooling largely in Golang and Python, deployed with Terraform.
- Working with Kubernetes and Azure Functions.
- Setting up monitoring, logging, and feedback loops for CI/CD processes.
- Researching new techniques and best practices.
- Collaborating with development teams to optimize their build and deploy processes.
- Focusing on standardization, automation, and enhancing developer experience.
What they ask
- 5+ years of work experience as a Software, DevOps, or Platform Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting, such as Terraform, Helm, or Python/GO.
- Experience with containerization tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Native or full proficiency in Dutch (B2 minimum) and good proficiency in English.
Preferences.
- Experience with AKS.
- Experience with Golang development.
