NPI Industrialisation Engineer
An international industrial player supplies technical components and solutions to leading OEM customers. Within a compact, entrepreneurial environment, they work on further growth and product development. The Belgian branch plays an important role as an operational and technical site for the European market. For a strategic industrialization project, they are looking for an experienced NPI Industrialisation Engineer who can technically validate, scale up, and prepare a new product line for production.
What you will do.
- Technically lead the industrialization process from a validated mix design to pilot production and ultimately series production.
- Set up structured trials to timely identify process risks, technical limitations, and scalability challenges.
- Translate product and customer requirements into concrete process flows, layouts, work instructions, and quality controls.
- Select, specify, and commission equipment in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and technical partners.
- Define critical process parameters, tolerances, controls, and validation methods.
- Develop SOPs, training material, and operator instructions to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer to production.
- Prepare and follow up on quality documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, process validation, and, where necessary, support PPAP or customer approvals.
- Technical alignment with engineering colleagues to correctly translate knowledge, test results, and design choices into production.
- Build internal production expertise around this new process so that the organization can eventually produce independently and scalably.
Profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field forms a good basis, although relevant experience takes precedence.
- Experience with high-density concrete, heavy concrete, or comparable materials is essential to successfully take on this role.
- A background in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, process engineering, NPI, or product development is highly relevant.
- Quality methodologies such as PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, process validation, or PPAP are familiar territory or align with your experience.
- Project-based work is in your nature: phasing, planning, documenting, monitoring, and adjusting are done in a structured manner.
- Hands-on involvement is not daunting; in addition to coordinating, you are willing to test, analyze, and implement yourself.
- Strong analytical skills help to quickly detect technical risks, process deviations, and improvement opportunities.
- Independence and ownership are crucial as this is a new role with ample room to set direction.
- Dutch and English language proficiency.
- Occasional travel is not an issue.
