As an Ambulant Counselor Youth and Family, you enter the living world of families and help them to become self-reliant again. You build a relationship of trust and work together towards sustainable change. You focus on the strengths and opportunities within the family.
What you will do.
- Teach families new skills and actively practice them with them in their own environment.
- Guide families with complex problems who want to move forward independently.
- Know how to connect, motivate, and make goals concrete.
- Work with different family dynamics and adapt the approach to each family.
- Write care plans, report on successes and challenges.
- Support families with various requests for help.
- Work methodically and purposefully to strengthen families and increase their self-reliance.
- Look at what a family needs to continue independently in the long term.
- Collaborate within a basic team, learn from each other, and share successes.
- Have excellent knowledge of the social map and youth and family services.
- Know which help is appropriate and when to involve other expertise.
Profile
- Completed HBO bachelor's degree in an pedagogical or social direction (e.g., Social Work or Pedagogy) or a university master's degree in Orthopedagogy.
- SKJ registered (or immediately eligible for registration).
- In possession of a driving license and own transport, willing to travel throughout the province.
- Have a Christian faith conviction and be able to explain its meaning.
- Independent and entrepreneurial type with a good dose of creativity and a strong personality.
- Able to handle complex situations well, dare to make decisions, and remain calm when things get complicated.
Practical aspects.
- A lot of freedom to organize your own agenda and activities.
- Work independently, with the ability to rely on colleagues and the basic team.
- Flexible working hours, including evening visits, to align with the daily lives of families.
- Possibility to work from offices in various cities in the province, which serve as meeting places for colleagues.
