You build bridges between youth, their environment, and innovative initiatives. You strengthen children and young people and promote a positive relationship between the target group and the local community.
What you will do.
- Establishes low-threshold contact with children and young people on the street.
- Builds trust and actively addresses the needs of children and young people in various life domains.
- Connects children and young people with existing support and leisure activities.
- Collaborates with local partners to make social services more accessible.
- Initiates activities and lowers barriers for young people to find the help or leisure they need.
- Optimizes existing offerings with an innovative approach to create a positive impact on the well-being of children and young people.
- Identifies signals from children and young people in socially vulnerable positions.
- Participatively brings these signals to the attention of the local government.
- Works politically with young people to provide insight into their position and empower them.
- Stimulates empowerment and contributes to a more inclusive policy.
Profile
- Knowledge and insight into the mechanisms of structural social disadvantage and exclusion.
- Insight into the living world and developmental patterns of children and young people.
- Insight into pedagogical processes and the functioning of groups.
- Familiarity with the social map and functioning of the local policy level.
- Independent and proactive.
- Dares to go out on the street and approach young people.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage in dialogue with young people and various stakeholders.
Skills.
- Demonstrable experience in experiential and outreach work.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends.
- Good command of Dutch, both spoken and written.
- Decisive and able to justify decisions.
- Able to handle conflict situations.
Practical
