The administrative organization works for two municipal administrations. The Youth and Education department has almost 80 employees and, together with three other departments, forms the Social Domain of the municipalities. The department carries out tasks in the following areas:
- Youth and Family and Youth Care (youth care, support and advice team)
- Youth Guidance (youth work, compulsory education and Regional Reporting and Coordination function for early school leaving and criminal and care directors)
- Policy (advice/assignment of youth and education, individual and collective provisions)
Due to reduced staff capacity, a Youth Consultant is temporarily sought for the Youth Care team. Youth care focuses on implementing measures aimed at ensuring that young people grow up healthy and safely in the family situation, that young people can develop to their maximum potential, and that parents/caregivers are self-reliant and independent. The team consists of 27 youth care workers/youth consultants and works in area teams. Reinforcement is sought for one of the teams.
What you will do.
- Determine with the resident what is needed to achieve the final goal
- Be a process manager, conducting research into the most suitable youth care for young people and families
- Work system-oriented, solution-oriented, and network-oriented, applying an integral approach
- Handle applications for youth care, both Care in Kind and PGB (Personal Care Budget)
- Conduct an analysis of the care need through observation and dialogue with the family (system)
- Help the young person and the family to determine their own problems/care needs
- Provide information and advice and refer to generally accessible facilities
- Draw up a perspective plan and make timely referrals for complex, multi-problem, and/or specialist care needs
- Continue to monitor these care needs (case management)
- Ensure good information transfer of the trajectory/client file upon referral
- Signal (possible) unsafety of the young person and take appropriate action
- Maintain contacts with institutions regarding the quality/satisfaction of the care provided
- Have periodic contact with the contract manager about the quality provided by institutions
- Manage relationships with schools, youth health care, and general practitioners
- Work closely with youth workers, compulsory education, directors, social team, and colleagues from Social Provisions and Work and Income

What they ask
- Demonstrably completed at least a bachelor HBO (higher professional education) degree (in the direction of SPH/Social Work, social work & services) on CV
- Demonstrably at least 4 years of work experience as a Youth Consultant at a government organization or in youth protection, gained in the past 6 years, on CV
Preferences.
- Demonstrably experience with Zorgned on CV
- Demonstrably experience working within a government organization in the youth care department in the past 4 years on CV
- Work experience with the focus area of domestic violence and child abuse
- Extensive experience with complex case management and systemic work, gained in the past 6 years
