You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise at the intersection of psychology, pedagogy, safety, and social development within a juvenile justice institution. You will help young people gain insight into their behavior, support them in their development, and contribute to their responsible return to society. The organization is looking for 2 FTE Health Psychologists.
What you will do.
- Make a significant contribution to the physical and psychological health and well-being of young people.
- Investigate underlying problems, identify risks, and translate expertise into appropriate guidance and treatment.
- Support and advise staff in the primary process regarding the approach to young people and the implementation of perspective plans.
- Be ultimately responsible for individual perspective plans, reports, and behavioral interventions.
- Develop individual perspective plans based on internal and external reports, behavioral reports, and diagnostic research.
- Include goals, an appropriate guidance style, and formulate advice on aftercare.
- Evaluate the progress of perspective plans and adjust them as necessary.
- Diagnose personal problems of young people and determine necessary interventions and orthopedagogical guidance.
- Provide assistance to young people in crisis situations, assess possible consequences for group leaders, and advise on this.
- Provide short-term guidance to young people during crisis situations.
- Advise on leave, schooling, and training for young people, and on measures such as isolation or dosage programs.
- Support, advise, and coach department heads and group leaders.
- Perform delinquency analyses and apply expertise in recognized behavioral interventions.
- Conduct risk assessments using recognized risk assessment instruments.
- Maintain contacts with the social network of young people and with external bodies and organizations.
- Maintain contacts with internal disciplines for bilateral coordination.
Profile
- Relevant (post-)master's degree as an orthopedagogue, (child and youth) psychologist, or health psychologist.
- Registration in the BIG register as a Health Psychologist. Basic psychologists are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong affinity with youth and young adults.
- Diagnostic knowledge regarding various target groups.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Strong analytical skills, flexibility, and empathy.
- Integrity combined with good judgment and persuasiveness.
- Good collaboration skills and motivation for further development.
- Registration as a trainer for "Leren van Delict" and/or other recognized behavioral interventions is a plus.
Collaboration. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with pedagogical staff, therapists, educational professionals, and medical disciplines.
