Master Psychologist Addiction Care

A healthcare organization is looking for a Master Psychologist for a polyclinic team. You will work with a diverse and challenging target group, where, in addition to addiction, comorbid complaints are often present. The specialized department is an expert in the field of addiction care and offers high-quality care, from prevention to treatment.

The polyclinic team consists of 70 colleagues from various disciplines, including cognitive behavioral therapists, licensed psychologists, clinical psychologists, addiction doctors, and psychiatrists. Work is based on evidence-based treatments such as CBT and ACT. In addition to addiction problems, comorbid disorders such as anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, and ADHD are also treated. Both individual and group treatments are offered.

You can expect an open and direct management style, with a strong focus on team atmosphere. The department is characterized by collegiality and conviviality.

What you do

  • Treat clients with addiction problems, individually and in groups.
  • Manage clients with psychiatric problems that affect their functioning.
  • Conduct intakes and indications.
  • Develop treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Involve relatives in the treatment.
  • Participate in intercollegiate consultations.
  • Receive work supervision from a licensed psychologist.
  • Provide diagnosis and treatment for comorbid complaints such as PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders.
  • Treat using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and 'acceptance and commitment therapy' (ACT).
  • Offer services for clients with mild intellectual disabilities (LVB), chemsex consultations, and non-Dutch speaking clients.
  • Participate in courses and training for professional development, such as motivational interviewing and the CBT protocol for substance use.
  • Contribute to the development of the treatment offerings.

Profile

  • Desire to work complaint-oriented and evidence-based, focusing on addiction and comorbid complaints.
  • Ability to function well independently within a large team.
  • Be flexible, stress-resistant, and proactive.
  • Take the lead in treatment and maintain an overview of the caseload.
  • Preferably one or more years of work experience as a Master Psychologist.
  • Experience in the treatment of addiction and psychiatric problems is a plus.
