This role arises due to the resignation of one of the board members.
- The organization is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting young people in need of societal help.
- The foundations are endowment funds that provide subsidies for youth projects, as well as scholarships and interest-free loans to students.
- Together, the foundations annually allocate approximately €2.7 million to their objectives.
- The board manages the assets of the foundations.
- The board consists of six members with an annually rotating chairmanship and is supported by a steward and a scholarship advisor.
What you will do.
- Function as part of a team with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and disciplines.
- Divide tasks and areas of focus, for example, within a financial committee or land committee.
- Contribute to the decision-making of the board as a whole.
Profile

- Communicative and socially skilled personality.
- Managerial qualities.
- Dedication, and sufficient time and availability.
- Confidentiality of sensitive information from applications and relationships of the foundations.
- Experience in the field of youth issues.
- Make a valuable contribution to the board based on knowledge, experience, and network.
- Commitment to the social objective of the organization.
- Board or supervisory experience within a social organization and/or the business sector is a plus.
The board aims for a composition with:
- A balanced gender distribution and diversity.
- At least an investment expert, a lawyer, and an accountant/controller.
- Experience with youth issues, education, poverty, for example, as a child and youth psychologist, (ortho)pedagogue, or social worker, specialized in children and families.
Practical aspects.
- Board members are appointed for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of three reappointments.
- The time investment is an average of 5 half-days per month.
- The foundations are Public Benefit Organizations (ANBI).
- Board members receive remuneration according to an established fee scheme.
