Social Health Sector Support Worker

From autumn 2026, you will mobilize to prepare the opening of the living community and support future residents and their families with their move-in. From January 2027, within a small team of 2 or 3, you will be among the first support workers for the living community. A role to be built with the administrators and alongside family caregivers and home care providers who are present day and night.

• You accompany each resident in their daily life dynamics, linked to the rhythm of an ordinary day.
• In case of an immediate need from a resident, you are required to provide a solution with or without the help of your colleagues.
• You support the autonomy and participation of seniors, facilitate connections with everyone, and create partnerships with the neighborhood.
• You are the main contact for questions from residents' families.
• You meet and inform candidates, help organize move-ins, and manage administrative files.
• You are the attentive observer, the benevolent guardian: you report any event useful for the deployment of quality support, you express any need to reflect on it as a team, and you initiate constructive team reflections.
• Thanks to your experience and continuous training, you guarantee the support approach with the backing of the administrators.

You report to the administrator of the organization, responsible for team supervision.

• You hold a bachelor's degree in the social-health sector (social worker, psychology assistant, specialized educator, paramedical, nurse…) or you have sufficient and equivalent professional experience in the social-health sector.
• You have initial professional experience in accompanying seniors living with cognitive difficulties and a good knowledge of neuro-evolutionary diseases.
• You have a genuine affinity for accompanying seniors and wish to continue your professional development in this field.
• You have validated training as a 'dementia reference person' (asset).
• You are fluent in French (oral + written) and understand Dutch (asset).
• You are recognized for your attentive listening, empathy, and you adapt your communication to your interlocutors; you demonstrate patience and serenity; you are flexible, autonomous, assertive, and solution-oriented, while respecting established procedures.
• You enjoy teamwork and collective reflection.

• An indefinite-term employment contract.
• A salary package including a fixed salary from the associative sector, between 2,800€ and 3,300€ gross monthly for a full-time position, pro-rated according to part-time work and experience/seniority, an end-of-year bonus, daytime work schedules with short weekend shifts (alternating with colleagues), legal holidays proportional to your work, and extra-legal days.
