Night Shift Supervisor
You will work with elderly people with an intellectual disability in a small-scale residential environment. Here you offer intensive, warm care in a homely atmosphere, where comfort, peace, and quality of life are central. The fourteen residents receive the intensive care they need, with room for self-direction and as pleasant a daily life as possible. The team is involved and works with genuine attention to the well-being of the residents.
What you will do. During the night, you offer residents proximity, care, and guidance.
- Conduct nightly rounds and respond to care requests
- Detect and interpret sounds via the listening system
- Perform reserved and technical nursing procedures (or be willing to learn them)
- Administer medication and ensure medication safety
- Report and hand over to the day shift
- Process and place orders
- Perform light household tasks
Profile
You are calm, decisive, and have a sense of humor. You keep a cool head in unexpected situations and can work well independently, but are also collegial and involved.
- A completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in Care & Welfare
- Experience with, or interest in, elderly residents
- Willingness to train in technical nursing procedures and conditions such as epilepsy and diabetes
- Flexibility and sense of responsibility to work at night
