Information Analyst

• The realization of APIs with which administrative bodies can automatically supply and actively publish documents and metadata.
• The further development of a Submission Desk with which administrative bodies can manually supply documents with metadata.
• The integration of collections that are already made public on other portals within the government.
• The further development of a portal with which all users can find information in an intuitive and user-friendly manner.

In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner of the DevOps team and translate business and user questions and wishes into concrete, well-thought-out designs and user stories. Where applicable, different alternatives will be weighed based on value, priority, costs, and benefits. The specifications delivered by the Information Analyst will serve as clear starting points for realization by the DevOps team and for the (acceptance) testing of the delivered functionalities.

In the analysis and development, specific attention will also be paid to the management and further development of the necessary tools, in close cooperation with the (functional) administrator(s). As an Information Analyst, you will proactively collaborate with other chain partners, including Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Management.

• Performing analyses on processes and information. Consider: what are the data sources, what processes exist, and what information is missing?
• (Re)designing information flows, data models, and logic for data collection, processing, and reporting.
• Drawing up requirements, user stories, or functional specifications that align with business objectives, technical, and organizational preconditions.
• Coordinating solution directions with Architects and Analysts within the organization.
• Guiding implementations: ensuring that technical solutions align with the information analysis and that deliveries meet what has been agreed upon.
• (Supporting) testing of realized solutions for data integrity, consistency, usability, and accessibility.
• Providing insight into information architecture, metadata, information standards, and security where relevant.
• Contributing to the improvement of processes around information analysis, documentation, communication, and collaboration.
• Supporting implementation employees with training and customer or supplier contacts.
• Supporting Product Managers and Product Owners with customer or supplier contacts.
• Supporting the Functional Administrator in dealing with questions and wishes.
• Giving presentations to various target groups.

What they ask

• Completed and preferably a degree in Computer Science (HBO or university).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the role of Information Analyst.
• Extensive experience with analysis and design for online applications.
• Extensive experience in information modeling and specifying interfaces.
• Broad knowledge of and insight into the government's ICT landscape, APIs, and data formats (XML, JSON, CSV).
• Extensive experience with specifying and coordinating user stories in a Scrum team.

• Proactively collecting and making information available (interim) to arrive at supported analyses.
• Translating complex information into simply formulated requirements, functionalities, and user stories.
• Communication skills to comfortably interact at different levels, from colleagues in other teams to critical customers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Management.
