Healthcare Psychologist

An expertise center offers support to visually impaired and blind people, including in cases of co-occurring psychopathology or other disabilities. The client is always central, and problems and support questions that do not always lend themselves to standard solutions are addressed. There is continuous work on knowledge development and innovation in care, rehabilitation, and education. Upon starting, courses and training are offered through an internal academy, specifically focused on visual problems.

You will work together in a multidisciplinary team.

What you will do.

  • Work with a unique target group (adults and elderly) and their relatives, including people with eye conditions and visual complaints after acquired brain injury.
  • Perform various psychological diagnostics and treatments, tailored to the client.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team with a consulting and coordinating role.
  • Contribute to the further development of psychology within the multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation setting.
  • Contribute to the drafting and implementation of the client's rehabilitation plan.
  • Supervise basic psychologists and, if applicable, contribute to the training of educationalists/psychologists to become GZ-psychologists.
  • Coach colleagues in the multidisciplinary team regarding client approach and reflection on their own functioning.
  • Participate in national (expertise) projects and consultations, thus contributing to the development of diagnostic and rehabilitation methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within and outside the organization, and expand contacts with partners in the healthcare network.

Profile

  • Completed training as a GZ-psychologist (Healthcare Psychologist).
  • Knowledge and experience in both psychodiagnostic and psychological treatment methods and techniques for adults/elderly.
  • Open to further training on visual impairments and their impact on functioning.
  • Creative and resourceful in adapting standardized methodologies and test materials for this target group.
  • Thrives in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting.
  • Able to connect, proactively seeks collaboration (internal and external).
  • Possesses good social and didactic skills, a flexible work attitude, and can work independently, in a team, and multidisciplinarily.
  • Has an overarching perspective, is tactful, persuasive, and has a respectful attitude.
  • Involved, accessible, and proactive.
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Holds a B driving license and has access to a car.
