You contribute to circular healthcare innovation by combining knowledge of medical technology development with user research for the redesign of medical equipment for sustainable healthcare.
What you do
- Responsible for designing sustainable product development in healthcare.
- Combines technical knowledge of medical technology with qualitative research into users and processes.
- Takes ownership of a project focused on circular care.
- Analyzes waste streams of electronic medical devices in collaboration with healthcare organizations and technology companies.
- Applies knowledge to the development of new electronic medical devices.
- Presents results in reports, presentations, or (scientific) publications.
- Guides (graduating) students contributing to the research.
- Initiates new and independent research.
What they ask
- A master's degree in fields such as Technical Medicine, Industrial Design, Biomechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Technology.
- Experience with design research and service design.
- Experience with co-creation with stakeholders (companies, healthcare professionals).
- You are hands-on and can easily realize ideas into prototypes.
- Affinity with circular manufacturing and product strategies and sustainability in healthcare/medtech.
