Our client operates in the food processing sector. The company belongs to a family organization with years of experience in Belgium. Given further investments for a production site, they are looking for reinforcement. In this new role, you will be responsible for optimizing existing production processes with a focus on by-products. Together with a fellow Production Manager, you will optimize the production site with a view to further capacity growth.
What you do
- Provide daily leadership to approximately 10 line managers
- Frequently communicate with, follow up on, and coach employees
- Anticipate and ensure maximum employee satisfaction
- Ensure sufficient staffing in all departments and efficient work based on ongoing orders and requests
- Collect data and map production schedules
- Act as a link between sales and production
- Assimilate all processes, further develop desired procedures, evaluate them, and adjust where necessary regarding cutting yields
- Promote operational efficiency and strengthen competitive advantage
- Closely monitor all hygiene rules and the flawless operation of machines
- Take necessary measures based on sufficient technical insight
Your profile.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in the food processing sector (meat processing, large kitchens, convenience food)
- Analytical skills
- Relevant work experience in process optimization in the food industry
- Perfect command of Dutch and English
- Knowledge of French is a plus
- Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
