Contract Manager
You contribute to keeping the country accessible and safe. As a senior contract manager, you ensure that large Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) contracts function well in practice. You monitor performance, finances, and quality.
What you do
You work on major infrastructure projects. These are DBFM contracts, where the contractor is responsible for design, construction, financing, and maintenance. You ensure that these agreements are properly fulfilled. You lead a contract team and are the primary point of contact for the contractor. You work daily with colleagues such as a technical advisor, contract advisor, and environmental advisor. Together, you ensure that infrastructure connections remain safe and available.
You maintain an overview, manage performance, and professionally handle changes and risks. You liaise with various parties, including at management level, to ensure that the contract functions well both on paper and in practice.
Your responsibilities.
- You manage the contract and verify that agreements are met.
- You assess changes (VTWs) and perform impact and cost analyses.
- You manage performance through the performance measurement system (PMS).
- You coordinate annual indexations and payments.
- You ensure proper administration in systems such as Relatics (GRIP).
Profile
- Completed education in contract or procurement management (e.g., NEVI) and VCA VOL.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with contract management in construction or maintenance.
- Demonstrable experience with DBFM contracts, preferably in the management phase.
- Knowledge of quality management.
- Knowledge of basic principles of tendering, risk management, and contract control.
