A public educational institution has an internal land economist (0.5 FTE). New tasks and large, complex projects require additional advice in the field of land economics. Two land economists (a total of 0.6 FTE) are sought to provide this advice. One land economist (medior) is responsible for calculations and guiding the internal land economist, while the other (senior) is responsible for strategic issues and acts as a sparring partner for the medior land economist.
The team the land economists will join is the Spatial Development team, part of the Physical Domain of the organization. This team develops policies and executes projects on themes such as building and housing, energy transition and sustainability, and economy and business climate.
What you will do.
- Perform feasibility calculations.
- Advise on and prepare business cases, particularly in the field of land exploitation.
- As a medior: work on calculations and guide the internal land economist.
- As a senior: deal with strategic issues and act as a sparring partner for the medior land economist.
What they ask
- Medior candidate has at least 3 years of experience as a land economist, senior candidate at least 5 years.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a municipal organization with at least 25,000 inhabitants.
- Experience with an inner-city transformation location, such as the transformation of a business park into a residential and work location.
- Medior candidate must be able to be in the office at least twice a week.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable experience with complex area development involving a combination of housing, commercial activities, and/or social facilities.
- Demonstrable experience with coaching, guiding, and transferring knowledge to a less experienced land economist.
- Demonstrable experience with providing input for complex land exploitations, exploitation calculations, scenario analyses, and risk analyses for administrative decision-making.
- Demonstrable experience with projects in which intensive collaboration took place with administrators, project leaders, external developers, and other stakeholders.
- For the senior candidate:
- Demonstrable experience with coaching, guiding, and transferring knowledge to less experienced land economists.
- Demonstrable experience with multiple complex area developments involving a combination of housing, commercial activities, and/or social facilities.
- Demonstrable experience with preparing complex land exploitations, exploitation calculations, scenario analyses, and risk analyses for administrative decision-making.
- Demonstrable experience with projects in which intensive collaboration took place with administrators, project leaders, external developers, and other stakeholders, with the senior having shaped this collaboration.
