Work for a public defense organization.
- Protect software that is essential for national security and military operations.
- Join the IT department of the defense organization and play a key role within the Civil Operational Command & Control (COC2) and Intelligence & Security (I&V) department, where digital threats are a daily reality.
What you do
- Organize, plan, and manage test execution.
- Perform some tests personally where possible.
- Liaise daily with colleagues, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Convince people of the usefulness and necessity of various tests.
- Provide a reliable judgment on quality and report on it to stakeholders.
- Be the point of contact for testing and quality within your sub-domain.
- Help projects and teams determine where testing brings the most value.
- Translate project objectives and requirements into a risk-driven test approach.
- Bring structure by identifying functional and non-functional requirements.
- Arrange the necessary people, systems, environments, and test data for test execution.
- Report and advise on test coverage, test results, and quality risks.
- Be involved in performing test activities where necessary.
- Actively contribute to test policy and the professionalization of testing.
- Coach employees from a discipline other than testing (e.g., administrators) in the basics of testing and quality thinking.
What they ask
- Minimum completed HBO degree, preferably in Informatics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a test manager in IT projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and executing tests in IT projects.
- Experience in guiding and addressing suppliers regarding delivered quality.
- Experience in setting up and supervising User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
- Excellent proficiency in the Dutch language (C2).
Preferences.
- Experience within a defense organization, preferably within the Intelligence domain.
- Experience with product risk analysis and risk-based testing.
- Experience with test automation in Playwright or Cypress.
- Possess a TMAP Test Manager or ISTQB Test Manager certificate or similar.
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Practical
- A security screening is part of the selection procedure.
- A reference check and assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
- To be eligible for this position, you must be from a country within the European Economic Area or possess a combined residence and work permit (GVVA).
