What you will do.
- You determine and manage the maintenance and asset management policy.
- You translate the company strategy into a long-term vision and elevate the department by focusing on digitalization, automation, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- You act as a true entrepreneur and build bridges between departments to achieve a shared vision.
- Setting out and implementing the strategic maintenance and asset management policy, in line with the company strategy and strict quality and safety standards (e.g., SEVESO, ATEX, and ISO).
- Managing, coaching, and developing the technical team, consisting of in-house technicians, a supervisor, and subcontractors.
- Managing the departmental budget, monitoring it, and substantiating investment decisions with pragmatic business cases.
- Evaluating and monitoring suppliers and subcontractors, including conducting negotiations regarding indexations in collaboration with the purchasing department.
- Initiating improvement and optimization projects with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and agility.
- Establishing cross-departmental collaborations and maintaining internal stakeholder management at all levels.
- Reporting directly to the manager and collaborating closely and pragmatically with peers in the organization.
Profile

- Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., electromechanics or industrial sciences), or equivalent by experience.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance, several years of which in a leadership and/or strategic role.
- Proven experience with change processes and professionalization of maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards; experience in an industrial or Seveso environment is a plus, while an innovative perspective from another sector is also genuinely appreciated.
- Fluent communication in Dutch and a good knowledge of English.
