A logistics customer is looking for a WMS Consultant for a long-term, freelance engagement. The consulting team works with customers to analyze warehouse operations, configure WMS solutions, and support implementations from initial analysis through go-live and operational support.
What you do
- Analyze warehouse processes and translate operational requirements into WMS configurations and functional specifications.
- Work across implementation projects covering receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, value-added services, cross-docking, shipping, inventory, and scanning.
- Support customers from analysis through testing, training, go-live, and hypercare.
- Analyze warehouse layouts and operational flows across inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, VAS, cross-docking, outbound, and inventory control.
- Translate warehouse requirements into WMS configurations and functional requirements.
- Perform fit-gap analysis and identify configuration options or workarounds.
- Prepare functional specifications where development is required.
- Configure locations, zones, picking strategies, scanner flows, labels, and customer-specific settings.
- Coordinate and execute functional testing against agreed scope.
- Support data migration covering items, locations, and stock.
- Support customers through go-live and provide on-site hypercare.
Profile
- 5+ years on WMS topics.
- 7+ years of experience for a senior profile.
- Experience analyzing warehouse processes and translating them into functional requirements.
- Ideally experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Navision.
- Languages: Dutch and English; French is an advantage.
