What you will do.
- Guide young people and adults with a mild intellectual disability in their daily lives, development, and personal goals.
- Provide structure, clarity, and support, always prioritizing the client's independence.
- Provide daily guidance.
- As a personal support worker, you are responsible for coordinating and implementing support.
- Work closely with colleagues, family members, and legal representatives.
- Draw up and evaluate care and support plans.
- Coordinate agreements from the care plan and monitor the quality of support.
- Support clients in developing skills and self-reliance.
- Maintain contact with parents and legal representatives.
- Actively contribute to a safe, trusted living environment.
Profile
- Completed care education at least MBO level 4.
- Experience with guiding people with a mild intellectual disability.
- Knowledge of methodical guidance focused on client independence.
- Willingness to work all shifts according to schedule, including two weekends per month.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and representatives.
Practical
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is part of the selection procedure.
- Reference checks and requesting information from the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate are part of the selection procedure.
