Site planning engineer

• Develop, maintain, and monitor the detailed 10-month commissioning schedule, ensuring alignment with project milestones and completion targets.
• Prepare and regularly update Level 3 and Level 4 commissioning schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Coordinate planning activities with construction, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up teams.
• Establish and monitor commissioning priorities, system handover sequences, and system/subsystem completion milestones.
• Track daily and weekly progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify potential delays.
• Prepare 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week look-ahead schedules to support site execution and resource planning.
• Identify critical path activities, schedule constraints, and interfaces affecting commissioning progress.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of commissioning activities.
• Monitor mechanical completion, punch-list closure, system turnover, testing, and commissioning readiness.
• Support the development and monitoring of manpower loading, resource allocation, and productivity forecasts.
• Conduct regular planning and progress meetings with the commissioning and construction teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including planned versus actual progress, schedule deviations, and recovery actions.
• Develop schedule recovery plans and mitigation measures when delays or critical issues arise.
• Maintain commissioning progress dashboards, S-curves, milestone trackers, and KPI reports.
• Ensure accurate integration of vendor activities, specialist support, and equipment testing into the commissioning schedule.
• Monitor interfaces between construction completion, commissioning activities, and operational handover.
• Support the Commissioning Manager in forecasting completion dates and identifying risks to project delivery.
• Maintain accurate planning records, progress measurement data, and schedule updates throughout the project.
• Coordinate final commissioning activities, performance testing, outstanding punch-list closure, and handover milestones.
• Support the preparation of final commissioning progress reports and project close-out documentation.
