The Exams department makes it possible to obtain a diploma outside of regular exams.
- Annually, thousands of candidates use this to obtain a VO or NT2 diploma.
- The department is supported by various IT solutions that are being renewed in a modernization trajectory.
- This includes applications for employees (e.g., planning), for candidates (registration), and for examiners (indicating availability).
Working method.
- Work is done in multidisciplinary DevOps teams with a strong sense of responsibility.
- There is close collaboration with business analysts and executive staff, and much interaction with internal and external end-users.
- Work is performed within the Scrum framework, processes are continuously reflected upon, and improvement is always strived for.
What you will do.
- As a software engineer, you will contribute to the renewal of the examination landscape.
- Your home base is one of the DevOps teams with regular coordination with colleagues in other teams.
- Automation is implemented where possible, applications are kept up-to-date, and new developments are quickly applied.
- By participating in the development team, you can influence the product.
- The challenge is to rebuild while the business is running.
Profile
- You have good knowledge of JavaScript and Java.
- You dare to look beyond just development tasks; you also want to know more about security, testing, and continuous delivery.
- You enjoy collaborating with others.

What they ask
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- Experience with Java (minimum 7 years).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment (minimum 3 years).
- HBO (higher professional education) thinking and working level.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework.
- Affinity with front-end development and experience with Angular.
- Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript (minimum 3 years).
Wishes.
- Experience in realizing high-quality and fast solutions and involving other developers in this process.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Elastic, OpenShift, and Argo.
- Experience with automated testing, for example, Playwright, Cypress, or Cucumber.
- Work experience collaborating in a complex, continuously changing environment where front-end and back-end converge.
- Experience interacting with designers, testers, and ops engineers.
- Knowledge of a government organization is a plus.
