As a Freight Forwarder, you are responsible for organizing and coordinating international transports. You are the point of contact for customers, carriers, and colleagues, ensuring that every transport assignment runs smoothly from start to finish. You will have a lot of independence and the opportunity to further develop yourself within international logistics. You will work for a transport company that has been active in the transport sector for over a hundred years.
With an extensive network of carriers and logistics partners, they daily arrange international FTL and LTL transports. The organization has an informal and collegial working atmosphere where collaboration, reliability, and quality are central. You will work closely with a dedicated team of about fifteen colleagues and will have every opportunity to further develop yourself within international logistics.
What you do
- Organizing and coordinating international FTL and LTL transports
- Maintaining contact with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal departments
- Preparing and monitoring quotes, rates, and commercial agreements
- Processing and checking transport administration
- Contributing ideas for more efficient logistical solutions and customer-oriented improvements
- Supporting colleagues within the team
- Periodically participating in an on-call service in the evenings and weekends
What they ask You enjoy organizing, easily switch between different tasks, and maintain an overview even under time pressure. You are a strong communicator and always think in solutions.
- MBO 4 working and thinking level, preferably in logistics or commerce
- Affinity with transport, forwarding, and international logistics; experience is a plus
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Accurate and commercially oriented
- Able to switch quickly and remain calm in a dynamic work environment
