APV Permit Officer

As a permit officer, you are responsible for advising on, assessing, and issuing or refusing permits and exemptions. You focus on both the General Local Ordinance (APV), such as event, terrace, exploitation, and market stall permits, and on special laws, including the Alcohol Act, Sunday Act, and Gambling Act. You actively contribute to knowledge transfer within the team and to the optimization of work processes. You write policies and make proposals for improvements.

In collaboration with a legal expert, you participate in appeal committee hearings and contribute to decision-making in permit disputes. The role is structural and requires full integration into the organization.

• Quickly request advice from internal and external parties for careful assessment
• Actively contribute to knowledge transfer within the team
• Contribute to the optimization of work processes
• Write policies
• Make proposals for improvements and innovations
• Participate in appeal committee hearings in collaboration with the legal expert
• Contribute to decision-making in permit disputes
• Serve as a point of contact for applicants, residents, institutions, businesses, colleagues, and other government organizations

What they ask

• Completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level, in the field of law, public administration, or public management
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a permit officer, APV and/or special laws with the associated regulations

Preferences.

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a permit officer, APV and/or special laws with the associated regulations
• Demonstrable work experience with writing memos for the board
• Demonstrable work experience with handling various interests of applicants, residents, entrepreneurs
