The Cleanliness Department is responsible for coordinating preventive, curative, and repressive efforts for cleanliness in public spaces, to improve the efficiency and results of public cleanliness. The department coordinates and directs various aspects of visual nuisance, such as illegal dumping, litter, weed control, and dog waste.
The team is busy with implementing a unified command, developing and executing an action plan, establishing a hotspot approach, and intensifying collaboration with various partners. Following up on numerous internal and external inquiries is an important task within this team.
What you do
- You manage and analyze reports from citizens and partners regarding visual nuisance such as litter, illegal dumping, and other cleanliness issues. You detect trends and bottlenecks and map them out in a structured way to strengthen operations and policy.
- You develop and refine standard answers for recurring questions and formulate tailored answers for more complex cases. For this, you coordinate with colleagues and external partners to always provide correct and clear information.
- You convert signals and reports into usable insights and concrete actions. You actively contribute to thinking about more efficient work processes and optimize how reports are handled.
- You prepare reports with figures, analyses, and points of attention. This supports the team and policy in making informed choices regarding cleanliness and quality of life.
- You answer policy and citizen questions in a clear and accessible manner. You translate complex or technical information into clear communication, based on data, input from partners, and applicable policy frameworks.
- You support and coordinate actions from the Cleanliness Department, such as awareness campaigns and neighborhood-oriented initiatives. You follow up on these actions and ensure a structured approach and evaluation.
- You collaborate intensively with colleagues within your team, other departments, and external partners. You actively coordinate and consult stakeholders to achieve high-quality solutions.
- You proactively provide feedback on findings, actions, and processes. In this way, you contribute to continuous improvement of operations and an efficient approach to cleanliness in the city.
