WMO Policy Officer

• Develop and improve policy.
• Translate laws and regulations into concrete measures with local impact.
• Provide expertise and advice for internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the interests of residents.
• Create a detailed translation of the new social domain vision into WMO objectives.
• Propose an implementation for powerful ageing in the integral working method of the organization.
• Deliver a policy proposal for a preventive approach specifically related to WMO services.
• Ensure the implementation of the subscription fee legal amendment.
• Coordinate where necessary with executive teams, other municipalities, and stakeholders.
• Advise management and colleagues to support decision-making.
• Periodically report on the progress of these topics in the P&C cycle.

• Independently determine how the work is carried out within the agreed assignment and results.
• Work independently, coordinating with stakeholders within the client's executive teams if necessary.
• Deliver the final product without hierarchical steering or dependence on the team.
• Freedom in work form, location, and planning, provided the end result is delivered according to the assignment and on time.
• Not embedded in the line organization and does not replace an employee.
• The work is carried out independently, with the client only assessing the final result.

What they ask

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience within a municipal organization.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years in WMO.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with project-based work.

Preferences.

• Demonstrable work experience with budget management.
• A personal motivation written by the candidate, addressing suitability for the assignment, specific relevant experience, motivation for this assignment, and WMO challenges in society for the coming years. The motivation must be written by the candidate themselves.
• Demonstrable work experience with a coordinating role in collaboration with social partners, businesses, and government.
