A government organization faces a major challenge in the field of housing construction and the transformation of the urban area. What you will do.
- Direct the housing construction assignment of the organization.
- Monitor progress, identify opportunities, risks, and bottlenecks.
- Ensure coherence between policy, implementation, resources, and administrative ambitions.
- Advise on necessary interventions and adjustment measures based on analyses and insights.
- Be responsible for the policy and strategic direction of the housing construction assignment as a whole.
- Develop policy frameworks and monitor the strategic course together with the Housing team.
- Ensure that policy and implementation align well by providing the right frameworks early in projects and area developments.
- Provide management and administration with the information needed to make choices and adjust in a timely manner.
- Monitor the policy line, track progress on policy objectives, and advise on measures when adjustments are needed.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and partners (housing corporations, market parties, regional parties) to embed ambitions.
- Maintain a broad network and be connected to developments at regional, provincial, and national levels.
- Direct the housing construction assignment and ensure that policy objectives, programming, and administrative choices align well with broader area developments.
- Ensure good monitoring of the housing construction assignment.
- Ensure that management and administration have up-to-date and reliable information on the progress of policy objectives and housing ambitions.
- Identify opportunities to further strengthen information provision, for example by unlocking data sources and developing dashboards.
- Work within the Living Environment, Housing, and Economy department, in the Environmental Policy team.
What they ask
- Minimum HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level, preferably in a relevant direction such as housing, residential construction, or plan development.
- Several years of demonstrable relevant work experience in a strategic or policy environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate on an equal footing with colleagues, administrators, and external partners.
- Knowledge of and affinity with current developments in the field of housing and public housing.
- Able to advise management and administration, both solicited and unsolicited.
- Carefully weigh different interests and maintain focus on the intended results.
