Client Confidential Advisor for Involuntary Care

An organization specializing in client confidential advisory work is looking for a Client Confidential Advisor for Involuntary Care for a regional team.

  • In this independent role, you make a difference for clients and their representatives who receive involuntary care.
  • The position is versatile and dynamic, with regular on-site visits to care institutions.
  • You work independently, without judgment about the care, with an eye for the rights of clients.
  • The Care and Coercion Act (Wzd) regulates the legal protection of clients with management issues who are confronted with involuntary care and/or involuntary admission. All clients mentioned in this act have the right to independent, impartial, and free support from a Client Confidential Advisor.

What you will do.

  • Support clients who receive (or will receive) involuntary care.
  • Offer a listening ear and advice.
  • Help navigate client rights.
  • Provide independent assistance during discussions with care providers about involuntary care.
  • Provide information about the role of the confidential advisor at care institutions.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of care.
  • Work on both the interests of clients and the improvement of care practices.
  • Act proactively and reactively with an eye for often complex management issues.

What they ask

  • HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level (preferably a degree in Social Work, Law, Social Legal Services, Psychology, Nursing, or similar).
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a healthcare and/or legal environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with people with intellectual disabilities, psychogeriatrics, or similar conditions.
  • Knowledge of client rights and healthcare laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Written skills for formulating complaints, writing complaint letters, and annual reports.
  • Excellent conversational skills: experience in conducting conversations with diverse target groups and healthcare professionals.
  • Independent and responsible. You can plan your own agenda well and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A neutral and independent attitude towards care providers.
  • Customer-oriented, reliable, integer, and persistent.
  • Driving license and car, willing to work (partially) in the evenings.
  • Willing to work from home.
  • Employment conditional on a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

Practical

  • A one-year contract with the intention to extend.
  • Salary classification according to scale 8 of the Social Work Collective Labor Agreement.
  • Individual choice budget (IKB) of 18.7% (built up from year-end bonus, holiday pay, extra statutory holiday leave) to align employment conditions with personal wishes and needs.
  • Fixed internet allowance and healthcare cost allowance.
  • Participation in a company fitness plan and career budget.
  • Statutory holiday leave (144 holiday hours annually for a full-time employment) and reimbursement of business travel expenses.
