Policy Advisor Income and Participation

OverijsselHybrid24 hours/weekDuration negotiable

As a Policy Advisor Income/Participation, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating municipal policy in the field of Income and the newly introduced Participation Act in Balance (Participatiewet in Balans). You are a project member and point of contact for income-related issues within the Participation Act in Balance project and think ahead about the implementation within a government organization.

The biggest challenge of this role is, on the one hand, combining two policy areas (Income and Participation Act in Balance) and, on the other hand, thinking ahead about what is needed to properly implement the Participation Act in Balance within the organization. This concerns the replacement of a long-term sick employee and is therefore an embedded function under leadership and supervision with side-by-side activities.

What you will do.

  • Translate national frameworks into the local situation
  • Provide answers to political questions on urgent topics
  • Participate in department and team meetings and regional consultations

Profile

We are looking for an experienced and connecting Participation policy advisor who is able to build bridges between policy and implementation. You will work closely with your direct policy colleagues, the Legal Affairs department, and colleagues from the implementation. You will collaborate with the benefits administration, the Income team, the Regional Self-Employment Office (RBZ), and the Work Participation policy advisor.

You provide integrated advice within the Social Domain and beyond (Physical Domain, chain partners). In doing so, you take into account new national and regional developments and political ambitions. Collaboration is in your DNA; you easily make contact with various teams, especially within the Work, Income, Integration, and Participation team.
