- Independently perform social medical activities, under the responsibility of an insurance doctor.
What you do
- Gather and analyze social medical information.
- Prepare medical reports and problem analyses.
- Contact clients (physical, written, and by phone) to complete medical files, especially for assessments of work capacity under social security laws.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with nurses, insurance doctors, reintegration counselors, and occupational experts.
- Conduct consultations and discussions with team members or external partners.
- Advise on follow-up actions for clients based on your expertise.
- Optimize service delivery and contribute to determining the right to benefits.
- Prioritize, identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and adhere to agreements.
Profile
- Problem analysis: seeking relevant information, quickly summarizing large amounts of information.
- Judgment: substantiating your judgment with factual data, providing clear written and/or oral feedback, identifying the consequences of different solutions.
- Decisiveness: taking a stand within set deadlines, even with conflicting interests, using your own decision-making authority.
- Oral and written communication: essential for client contact in the context of social medical assessment.

- HBO nursing diploma and BIG-registered.
- Insight/interest in the relationship between medical issues and social functioning.
- Generalist mindset and insight/interest in both General Healthcare and Mental Healthcare.
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques.
- Knowledge of prevention and natural collaboration with external partners.
Preferences.
- Knowledge of social insurance laws and regulations.
Practical
- You will work in a multidisciplinary team with various professionals.
- Functionally, you will report to an insurance doctor and hierarchically to a manager.
- Upon employment, you will start a Social Medical Nurse training program of approximately six months, mostly during working hours.
- An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
- A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG), original diplomas, and references will be requested upon employment.
