Contribute to the energy transition and the realization of new wind energy.
- Lead complex projects in an administratively and socially sensitive environment.

What you will do.
- Work on realizing provincial ambitions for wind energy within a new energy program.
- Contribute to generating 2 terawatt-hours of wind energy by 2030, equivalent to approximately 90 additional wind turbines.
- Collaborate with municipalities and initiators on projects that contribute to this ambition and good integration into the environment.
- Maintain an overview of multiple projects and ensure agreements are executed.
- Coordinate the role as competent authority, monitor progress, and collaborate with municipalities, initiators, and a procedural team for a careful course of formal procedures.
- Ensure proper structuring of local ownership and participation of residents and social organizations.
- Fulfill the role of environmental manager: actively maintain contact with stakeholders, bring different interests together, and mediate where necessary.
- Identify social, political, and environmental risks and translate them into concrete measures.
- Contribute experience and insights to further policy development.
- Initial focus is on wind energy, with the possibility of deployment on other topics such as heat, biogas, hydrogen, or nuclear energy, depending on developments in the energy transition.
Profile
- Collaborate with municipalities, applicants for project decisions, energy cooperatives, and colleagues within various teams of a government organization.
- Administrative sensitivity: an eye for the administrative and political context, recognizing different interests and sensitivities, assessing the impact of developments or decisions, sensing when coordination is needed, moving carefully within administrative and official relationships.
- Networking: easily making contact and actively building relationships with various parties, smoothly switching between levels and interests, connecting people, utilizing existing networks, and seeing opportunities to build new collaborations.
- Persuasiveness: striving to get others on board with an idea or viewpoint, tailoring arguments to the other person, conveying a proposal or argument in a persistent and enthusiastic manner, convincingly inspiring others to contribute to climate goals.
- Completed HBO or university education, for example in public administration, energy, or spatial planning.
- Preferably at least 4 years of work experience in a comparable field. This could include project management of complex area developments, the energy transition, or administrative advisory on politically complex issues.
- Knowledge of the broader government landscape and the role and ambitions of a provincial organization in sustainable energy.
- Familiarity with participation in the context of the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet), the energy transition, and the Regional Energy Strategy.
