This role offers a great combination of teaching, student guidance, and contributions to the further development of Frisian language and culture education. The Frisian teacher training program is part of an educational training program and provides training for future Frisian teachers in secondary and vocational education. With approximately 60 students and a compact, expert team of teachers, the program distinguishes itself through a high degree of involvement with students, the team, and the Frisian language.
Teachers work closely together to provide high-quality education and implement a language development program.
What you do
As a teacher trainer, you provide education, guide students, and are co-responsible for assessment. The emphasis is on the continuation and completion of existing educational activities. Your duties include:
- reviewing and assessing exams and assignments at B2 and C1 level
- providing the Language Knowledge and Proficiency B2 course
- providing the institution-wide Frisian writing course for Frisian speakers
- guiding and assessing students in subject didactics and research
- carrying out tasks within the framework of a language development program, such as a specific initiative
- performing organizational work
What they ask
- Excellent oral and written skills in Frisian
- Preferably, a completed second-degree Frisian teacher training program and/or a relevant completed master's degree
- Affinity with students and the Frisian education field, especially secondary and vocational education
- Willingness to contribute to the ambitions of a language development program

- Experience with applied research
- Good communication and organizational skills
