An organization is looking for a Lab Associate for a client site. In this varied role, you support daily laboratory activities and ensure that researchers and laboratory staff always have the necessary materials and products in a timely manner. As an important link between logistics and the laboratory, you contribute to an efficient, organized, and safe working environment.
What you do
- Daily management of storage cabinets and stockrooms using an inventory management system, including receiving, unpacking, distributing, and storing goods, and checking expiry dates
- Placing and following up on orders via digital channels with external partners and according to end-user systems
- Internal and external communication regarding order follow-up with suppliers by email or phone
- Providing proactive product support to end-users
- Distribution of personal packages ordered by end-users
- Gas cylinder management
- Collection of lab waste (glass, solvents, various) and replenishment of empties
- Registering incoming samples/chemicals in the management system and assigning a unique barcode
- Monitoring daily KPIs
- Placing orders in the ordering system
- Following up on backorders
- Close contact with the purchasing department
