As a manager, you are responsible for the operation of a childcare facility. Your goal is to guarantee quality childcare for children aged 0 to 3 years.
What you do
- Lead and coordinate the team
- Continuously motivate, coach, and evaluate team performance
- Conduct performance reviews with caregivers and supervise interns
- Ensure a good reception for interns and be the point of contact for (higher) education institutions
- Be responsible for quality and safety, and for monitoring the pedagogical project (in collaboration with the pedagogical coach/supervisor)
- Be responsible for the admission policy
- Handle the reception of new parents and be their point of contact
- Organize settling-in moments for a qualitative start for new children
- Step in to the living group if necessary due to illness or absence of a colleague
- Regularly organize team meetings after opening hours
Profile
- Warm, enthusiastic, and flexible person who meets the qualification requirements for a manager of a childcare facility with more than 19 places
- Experience in a similar role and strong leadership and coaching skills are recommended
- Ability to interact professionally, respectfully, and carefully with families and children from vulnerable groups
- Knowledge of the pedagogical, social, and economic functions of childcare
- Knowledge of the most important pedagogical and psychological principles related to young children is a plus
- Knowledge of childcare legislation is a plus
- A heart for children and their parents
- Empathetic, stress-resistant, proactive, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Creative problem-solver
- Proficient in using the Office suite (Office 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint)
- Possess a driving license and personal car for occasional travel
