Sourcing Manager
An organization has a strong ambition to expand its private label portfolio. As a Sourcing Manager, you play an important role in this. Your mission is to ensure that the right product, at the right price, at the right time, and according to the right guidelines, is available to customers. You will have a lot of responsibility for your categories, and your choices will be reflected in the assortment, margin, and ultimately, with the customers.
You will work directly with manufacturers in the Netherlands and abroad and interact frequently with colleagues within Supply Solutions, Sales, Supply Chain, and Marketing. Regular collaboration takes place with colleagues from other countries to share knowledge, align developments, and jointly seek opportunities for smarter purchasing. The atmosphere is direct and practical, with a lot of freedom to organize your work and take responsibility.
Private label revenue is growing rapidly, offering ample opportunities for development in international sourcing and strategic purchasing.
What you will do.
- Analyze markets, cost prices, and suppliers, and use data to substantiate purchasing decisions.
- Actively search for producers in the Netherlands and on international markets, and build a strong supplier network.
- Issue tenders, compare proposals, and negotiate on price, quality, delivery conditions, and other commercial agreements.
- Establish the purchasing policy for your categories and translate the strategic purchasing plan into concrete actions and results.
- Visit suppliers domestically and internationally as needed to build relationships, make agreements, or assess production and quality.
- Guide new private label products from sourcing to introduction, and monitor planning, agreements, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, and Masterdata, among others, to ensure a smooth internal rollout of a new product.
- Ultimately ensure that the right products are purchased under the right conditions, the assortment remains relevant, and everything within your purchasing package runs smoothly.

- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in purchasing, category management, or sourcing (preferably in food, retail, or FMCG).
- Curious and enjoys researching markets, products, and suppliers.
- Works structured and maintains an overview, even when multiple projects are running simultaneously.
- Possesses persuasiveness and courage, not shying away from complex decisions and involving stakeholders in choices.
- Communicates easily in Dutch and English.

The Supply Solutions department is responsible for the procurement of private labels, both locally and internationally. A team of sourcing managers, supply chain managers, and sales works closely together to daily develop and purchase the best private label products: directly from the source. Private labels are rapidly developing and are an important strategic focus. The import volume is growing significantly, with containers arriving daily from all corners of the world.
