Operating Theatre Coordinator

For a university hospital, we are looking for an Operating Theatre Coordinator ready to take on many challenges in the hospital environment and eager to develop within a committed and dynamic team!

What you will do.

  • You are responsible for organizing all activities of the operating theatre.
  • You develop strong leadership and participatory governance by being the link between the 3 main referents of the block (Head Nurse, Anesthesiologist Manager, and Surgeon Manager, one-day admission).
  • You develop a strategic vision for the functioning of the operating theatre, with the aim of increasing activity, efficiency, and quality of patient care.
  • You are responsible for the operational functioning of the operating theatre in its entirety: main theatre, one-day (rooms + care unit), recovery.
  • You ensure compliance with internal regulations and procedures applicable in the operating theatre.
  • You coordinate managers and the administrative team in their tasks within the operating theatre.
  • You work in close collaboration with the medical managers of the operating theatre, the head nurse, and the secretariat manager.
  • You integrate the activities of the operating theatre into the overall hospital activities. To this end, you organize regular consultations with departments collaborating with the operating theatre (consultations, emergencies, care units, ICU, hygienists, pharmacy, biotechnology, IT, anatomy-pathology, admissions, patient transport...).
  • You prepare and chair meetings of the operating theatre management cell.
  • You are responsible for preparing investment files for the operating theatre, in collaboration with the heads of department of the various medical disciplines and the head nurse.
  • You work under the direct responsibility of the medical management.

Profile

  • You are a bachelor-trained nurse and hold a Master's degree (Licence) or a diploma from a Management School with 5 years of practical experience in a management function.
  • You have good skills in team management, motivation, and conflict resolution.
  • You have good communication, work organization, and coordination skills.
  • You collaborate easily in multidisciplinary and transversal contexts.
  • You are dynamic, rigorous, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • You have good stress management and adaptability skills.
