Youth and Family Counselor

• Investigate what the youth, the family, and their network can do themselves.
• For persistent problems, jointly investigate with the family which organizations can offer help.
• After a broad analysis, explore the possibilities to address the help request.
• Establish a perspective plan together with the youth or the family.
• Refer in case of complex or specialized help requests, where specialized youth care is supplementary and temporary.
• Monitor the implemented assistance and keep track of bottlenecks and the quality of care.
• Take necessary measures if a child's situation is temporarily or permanently unsafe.

What they ask

• Residing within a maximum of 30 minutes travel distance from the work location.
• Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in youth and family assistance, including process management.
• Demonstrably in possession of a valid SKJ registration.

Preferences.

• Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience in the past 4 years in youth care within a government organization.
• Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years within the Youth Act (Jeugdwet).
• Demonstrable work experience with family systems.
• A short personal motivation explaining why you are suitable for this assignment.
